Network, yes. Conference, yes. BCS conference? Maybe not in the long term.

Replacing OU, Nebraska, A&M, and Colorado with Houston, SMU, Memphis, and New Mexico would lower the conference's power rating and probably the number of teams finishing in the final pre-bowl BCS poll. The latter two each make up 1/3 of what keeps a conference as an auto-qualifier conference.

Funniest part of all of this is that I don't think Baylor signs the waiver no matter what OU does.

No they won't.

Oklahoma isn't going anywhere where Texas isn't.

This statement is the personification of UT arrogance and douchebaggery.

This. But isn't that sort of the point? I mean isn't that why A&M first jumped ship to begin with? And now OU?

a 12-0 Texas with wins over Houston, SMU, Baylor, Iowa State, Texas State, Tulane and other rent a wins vs ANYONE else at 11-1 or 10-2...

Texas wont even be a shadow of the Big East....

FIFY

I find it ironic that a UT fan is calling out OK schools for acting in their best interests.

Tulane should try to get in the Big 12.

LA Tech should try to join. Their standards appear to be dropping below those of C-USA if they're talking about schools like New Mexico.

Not sure how strong Baylor's case can be, given the fact that they failed to act when Nebraska and Colorado jumped ship. In fact, maybe A&M have a case against Baylor if they lose revenue... but who knows on what point of law such a case would be decided?

I think that is logic from last summer...not so sure it still applies.

I'd tend to agree with you.

Recent comments from the OU president and Stoops indicate that they have a lower tolerance for Texas bullshite than normal.

If they go to the Pac 12, I seriously doubt that Texas, Texas Tech, and Oklahoma State won't be joining them.

ETA: I don't think Oklahoma leaves the Big 12.
