to the east division.

If OU goes west it is just stupid. Their fan base could never travel to games and at least the West Div. of the SEC is much closer to Norman than Eugene, L.A. and Seattle.

I just don't see OU going to the Pac 16 or whatever they'll end up being.

TAM and OU to West....AU to East.....let's roll.

That's one hell of a conference.

FSU ain't coming if Jimbo gets them back on top. They'll dominate the ACC like they used to and won't benefit by joining the SEC.

That's my .02

Don't think OU is interested in the SEC but Boren said it would be a surprise so what's surprising about them joining the PAC 12?

In this potential PAC-16, Oklahoma would be in a division with Oklahoma State, Texas, Texas Tech, and either Arizona and Arizona State or Colorado and Utah. That's not too terrible as far as distances are concerned.

It's not stupid, it's business.

And outside of Texas, there's not a football power in that group. OU would get the prestige of the Pac-10, the occasional west coast trip, and a Big 12-like situation in which they can continue their football dominance. Only now OU could recruit Texas AND California.

Pac-10 is a great fit for OU. It would be better for them if Texas comes too, but it's good for them no matter what.

It's actually going to need to have both the Arizona schools and Utah and Colorado with Texas, OU, and their little brothers in order to make the divisions 8 and 8.

It's not stupid, it's basic arithmetic.

as an OU fan i'd prefer the big 10 to the pac12 or sec, but i'm not sure they'll have us.

Oklahoma would get butt raped in the SEC and they know it. They want no part of us.

Everyone knows OU would compete very well in the SEC. But it would be a harder road to conf championship than what you're used to.

You need thick skin on this board.

I don't like OU nor their fanbase. They don't drink and their fans are dry with no sense of humor. They belong in the PAC.

Exactly. They wouldn't be able to handle having to play more than 1-2 tough conf. games every year. I wish they would join personally b/c it would be a good rival for Arkansas, but they're fans are a bunch of ignorant bitches for the most part.

listening to the OU beat writer for ESPN this morning. Said that OU to the SEC would be a last case scenario. There is zero desire from the higher ups to join the SEC, but, if push came to shove and there was nowhere to go, they would accept an offer from the SEC. That's assuming that the PAC12 & B1G were unable to reach an agreement with OU. They see virtually no hope at this time for the big12 and are just waiting for A&M to make their move.
