AL/TN has got to be the most insignificant significant game in the history of NCAA football. Ahything before say 1975 has very little to due with the game today. There's a reason why primarily only AL and TN give a shite about this game.

It's an incredibly underappreciated rivalry. The fact that everyone loves to talk about the Iron Bowl, but Bama fans still don't want to give up the UT rivalry should tell you something.

How many rivalries are there that you think everyone cares about? There aren't many games people would care about if not for the teams being good.

Mizzou to the east keeps the current status with regards to current permanent non-division rivals.

However, putting Mizzou to the East creates huge travel issues for their fans and they are a better fit with Arkie, TAMU, LSU, et...

IMHO, Auburn will move to the East. Biggest loss is Alabama vs. UT.

MSU-SC

I think this would happen if there were new divisonal rivals. SC-MSU played every year before they changed it to only 1 annual cross-divisonal rival. Not to mention neither seem to have a natural cross division rival now like Bama/UT, AU/UGA. etc.

To be fair, they're probably the only two of the 'natural' rivalries. If it weren't for these two, cross division rivalries wouldn't exist.

This was not supposed to be pointed out. After I mentioned those 2 I thought about all the other permenant opponents and the only one that made sense was Arky-SC on the basis of both joining the league in the same season.

I think MSU-SC is a natural match. Hell, even their helmets are similar. Both are historically strong #4s in their respective divisions, with a chance to sneak into Atlanta every once in a while.

I Missouri joins the SEC and they play an out of conference team I'm cheering for the other team. I don't like Missouri.

No its not reasonable, and this thread is dumb.

1) why does it have to be east and west or north and south? The acc did a pretty good job mixing and matching their divisions while protecting all rivalries.

2) I think all the speculation is dumb because I really believe Mizzou isn't leaving for the SEC.

Also as the newcomers Aggies should be thankful for being in the SEC , enjoy the banter over here on TD (its 10x better than texags) and try not to bomb the board with thread after thread on division shifts or who our permanant rival will be etc. It will all be answered soon enough.
