Texas high school talent is pretty much stocking the entire Big 12 right now.

and in the sec i just dont see them still swaying kids from a&m texas and OU still, and its not like they are surrounded by fertile recruiting grounds.

Hell yes!! Mizzou will grow into a great rivalry fast for us. Faster in basketball obviously. Hope this happens.

FWIW - if EVERY division game was on the road, the difference between east & west SEC, the east is 140 miles & 2 hours longer - round trip. That's every game being on the road. Not an issue.
Welcome yet another tiger to the SEC.

so bama is running the goddamn sec, huh? frick them. put mizzou in the west and kick the gumps to the east so they can keep their precious game with ut. we'll keep auburn in the west; we like to give them shite anyway.

I think the real reason AU wants to go East and bama doesn't want us to is AU might get to play bama twice a year every so often and AU would probably pass bama in the all time series record that much quicker.

Hey, TigerCub, do you have a link to your statement about LSU and Florida? If LSU did say what you stated, then the school that I have degrees from sound like chicken shite. I can't believe that the athletic department would be a pussy about playing Florida. Every school has the potential of being good or bad. Hell, when I went to LSU, Ole Miss was a powerhouse plus we played Bama every year. I want a link to your stupid statement.

Mizziuo recruiting - "stuck" with second teir TX talent, they have 30 TX kids in their 105. Gotta keep that in perspective - 1200+ high schools play 11 man in TX.

The SEC aura will have an effect in TX with two schools saying, "we play in the SEC". Gives the 5&4 star recruits another opinion.

LM has built a solid program with a lot of 3stars. Lot of those in TX!

Yeah in basketball, Mizzou is already a rival to Arkansas.

Missouri adds nothing to the SEC - as a matter of fact, they pretty much just water down the product.

If they have to join, I'm glad they'll be in the East, it'll impact LSU that much less.

For once I'm glad that Alabama is throwing a hissy fit. Missouri adds nothing to the SEC. How much of a value is their market when the market is control by pro sports?

They're about like Ole Miss, minus tradition, plus potential.

Better at basketball, worse at baseball.

They get about 60k fans for football games.

I think they bring money, academics, and aren't much of a threat.

Expansion was going to happen either way. I'd rather have Mizzou by our choice instead of searching for leftovers.

Can they really bring in more money? Maybe they can contribute more moneywise for basketball, but is that enough to bring them on board? Maybe with the SEC brand backing them, they can gain market share in Missouri.
