We recruit alot out of Tx. Why would they come to LSU if they could stay in state?

it's like great neighborhood restaurant. it has the best food and people would wait in line to get in. often you'd run into your best friends. but the owner get greedy and decides to redo the place and expand the number of tables. now, it's not as hard to get into, and it's not as quaint. to fill the tables, the owner is advertising to bring in people from outside the neighborhood. rarely to you run into people you know anymore, and new customers like to complain, so you don't enjoy going anymore. the restaurant fails.

I think the one big reason I am not totally in love with the idea is a firm belief in the law of unintended consequences. To explain, if we and other conferences "super-size" I am just not sure what might happen afterwards... like to the bowl system, regional rivalries, and yes, traditions. All of these are all part of what makes college ball unique and loved by so many. I am concerned about killing a golden goose, even unintentionally, as per what Winyahpursy said in the previous post above...

I dont think it hurts our recruiting all that much. It doesn't help things but we will still land our share in texas.
To me recruiting is already a pretty national game so its not a huge factor.
