Looking at the breakdown:

west
LSU
Bama
Auburn
MSU
UM
Arkansas
TA&M
Mizzou

East
Florida
Georgia
UT
USCe
Kentucky
Vandy
FSU
Clemson.

If they break it down down this way THERE IS A TRAVEL Disadvantage to the West Teams....The East are all snuggled up and everybody is within close proximity relatively speaking.

I suggest we do away with "EAST" and "WEST" and REALIGN the divisions to make traveling much more balanced.

Not happening

If it happened look at the PAC 12 and they are more widespread than the SEC so deal with it

The only team out of the ones that are from the Big 12-2 that I would ever possibly travel to would be aTm only because I have family in the Houston area. Too far away and not enough dough.

There will not be 16 teams. Also isn't there a sticky thread for discussions like this?

not saying we are the PAC 12 but I assue you are worried about Bama having to travel to Mizzou and A&M when it would be futher for someone like FSU, FLA, UGA, USCe to travel when they have to cross the division

It seems like only Alabama and Auburn would really be at any disadvantage. Then again, it is not like Gainesville to Nashville or Lexington are really that short of trips

each week, for the most part, the west would seem to travel more and with an already taxing season the extra time on the road for the teams would eventually take their toll.

Of course it would be a Bama fan bitching about disadvantages.

Seeing as they'd have the 3rd/4th shortest distance to Mizzou of all the teams, and shorter than UF has to Lexington for their UK game.
