Plus, there is talk that Athletic Director Bill Byrne will be retiring in another year or two. If that's the case, the new guy should be the one to make the hire.

Transition wise your better going into SEC with some continuity

I'm a Sherman skeptic but agree with this

I didn't get that from Texags. I got it from a booster that I work with.

Mike Sherman has to much of an NFL mindset to be successful in the NCAA. He is a good coach and an adequate recruiter, but 4th and 1 on the opponents 40 and you punt? 4th and goal on the 1 and you send in the kicker? NFL mindset, it camn be prohibitive in college. I am interested to know who aggie fans would like if Sherman was replaced.

In that hypothetical, the Irrational Aggie Fans would say Urban Meyer, Bill Cowher, Tommy Tuberville, Mike Leach... the rational

Either way unless Sherman loses out I don't see a change this year. He's got a top ten class coming in next year and a lot of young guys riding the pine.

as for me? Kirby Smart or Kevin Sumlin.

It's worse than you think. R.C. Slocum did that crap in the 1999 Sugar Bowl my junior year (down 24-14 with 10 minutes left and punted from the Ohio State 35 on 4th and 1)

THIS

You have to have a pair in college football. See Bob Stoops and Mike Leach.

With Leach it was mostly liquid courage.
