Death of OOC games?

If the SEC played a 9 or even 10 game rotation each season, the need to play any good OOC opponents become null because the risk is much higher than the reward. The SEC will become even more cut throat at needing to win every conference game and each OOC game scheduled will end up being just in state powderpuffs. At least that is just my opinion.

Even if we go to a 9 game conference season, you could still schedule two cupcakes and then one good OOC game. I don't think a 9 game conference schedule will change OOC scheduling too much.

Not the same as

Might want to update your OP title to say "Death of Quality OOC games?"
Just trying to be helpful...

OOC powder puffs will bring a needed rest when running the SEC gauntlet. Plus SEC schools will need to crush an occasional OOC school to remind everyone of our dominance.

we'd still play GT and UK still would play Louisville

Some of ya'll make think way too much when it comes to conference expansion.
Coming up with a new rotation is very simple. It's not that difficult!

With expansion, the SEC will keep the 8 game conference schedule....6 divisional with 2 cross division games instead of 3...
its about home games and rent a wins as well...

Playoffs would solve the OOC issue if we were to move to a 9 or 10 game conference schedule.
