After a long and extensive conference call this afternoon, the Big East came up with a plan to to extend invitations to Air Force, Boise State and Navy in football only and Central Florida, Houston and SMU as full members according to Big East sources. Is the Big East is really inviting UCF, Houston, and SMU? Let's see, that would mean that the Big East raided the following schools from Conference USA - Marquette, Depaul, Cincy, Louisville, South Florida, Central Florida, Houston, and SMU. TCU and Army were also members of C USA for a few years.

Nova screwed Temple out of an invite again.

The football schools wanted to invite temple all sports.

Nova had the catholic basketball schools under their thumb and they blocked anything the football schools would do until they compromised to keep Temple totally out.

That conference deserves to fail.
