Where the hell was Baylor when the Big 12 left out Rice, TCU and Houston? I don't remember Baylor sticking up for those schools. Seems to me the Governor at that time was a Baylor grad and as long as Baylor got in they had no problem leaving the other schools out. Enjoy the CUSA!

Texas was looking out for itself when it started the LHN.

A&M was looking out for itself when it started making the move to the SEC.

Baylor is looking out for itself by not signing the waiver.

All 3 acted in unison to screw over a lot of the old SWC schools.

I believe Texas is the one who screwed over the other Texas schools as they and SMU were the two biggest reasons the SWC failed.

*YAWN*

Every poster on here has been "EFF BU" and "It's a Business not a sport".

I hope we don't cock block A&M...go to the SEC...It's what everyone wants, unless you read into this "condition" as the SEC might not want them as much as they'd like to think.

The HYPOCRISY lies within this board and any A&M fan who thinks Baylor actually blocking them isn't what's best for BU...it's most certainly in our interest in the short term but it's petty as $%#@ and I'd hate to think that's what were about.

In summary...A&M can do what's best for them but it's hypocritical for BU to do what's best for us?

You don't like my opinion, Sue me?

Too bad they already did. The letter sent to A&M from Beebe stated the conference and it's members would not take legal action as long as A&M left by 5:00 pm on Thursday the 8th.

Total stupidity.

A&M IS GONE. Face facts. They're not going to be in the conference next year regardless of where they go. What's in the best interest of Baylor is to NOT drag this out and further destabilize the conference. If Baylor wants to be in a BCS conference by this time next season, they will only do so as a member of the Big XII...

Nah, we're trying to ignore you, but if we do we may be sued by you for defamation of character.

The SEC wants aTm. They are attempting to keep the conference out of any legal action.

Dear Mike:

This is to confirm our discussion yesterday during which I informed you that the Big 12

Conference Board of Directors unanimously authorized me to convey to you and their colleagues

in the Southeastern Conference that the Big 12 and its members will not take any legal action for

any possible claims against the SEC or its members relating to the departure of Texas A&M

University from the Big 12 and the admission of Texas A&M into the SEC
; provided, however,

that such act by the SEC to admit Texas A&M is publicly confirmed by 5:00 p.m. (CDT) on

September 8, 2011.

Such admission of Texas A&M will result in the withdrawal of Texas A&M from the Big 12

Conference effective June 30, 2012. We both agreed it is in the best interests of each of our

conferences and our member institutions of higher education to waive any and all legal actions

by either conference and its members resulting from admission of Texas A&M into the SEC, as

long as such admission is confirmed publicly by September 8, 2011.

If any of your presidents and chancellors have concerns about this commitment of the Big 12

Conference, they may contact me or Brady Deaton, Big 12 Board of Director chairman and

chancellor of the University of Missouri, Columbia.

Sincerely,

Dan Beebe

Baylor is led by one of the most pathetic figures in American legal history. Ken Starr is a voyeuristic pervert and it doesn't surprise me that he would resort to Play Misty For Me.

I also am not sure that an individual school would have the right to sue. It would have to be the conference as a whole as A&M never entered into any agreements directly with Baylor.

Like your 10 year contract...ROFL.

There are NO clean hands in this...do you think ANYONE is going to come out looking good in this? Besides the SEC of course...brilliant political move.

Dinardo, thanks for taking time to bold it and all that jazz.

I would have said Texas was the one coming out looking terrible.. but Baylor has surpassed them. Do you think any conference in America is going to accept them after this? If they don't stand down now.. it's over for Baylor athletics.

Oh Gerry...if your name wasn't the dead give away...Troll harder?

I'm a little to level headed to fall for that... I had 5 page troll thread going a while ago but the Dr. Drunkstein owns the top troll rights for this board.

I do appreciate the attempt and i'll compliment your style though...some pretty good effort and entertainment floating around this morning.

So you actually think another conference is going to want them if they individually sue a former conference mate and/or another conference?? Really?
