I was there. To me it looked like ark had more fans. We thought it was 60_40 ark.

Not the best first impression for the Texas A&M Aggies, who didn't quite fill their half of Cowboys Stadium as Hog fans showed up in force.

Not my words. ESPN.

And you live in a Dallas suburb and didn't even go to the game. Telling.

Yeah, watch the replay. Ark side is packed on lower level. Aggy side has several large empties in the good seats. We had at least 5k more fans than A&M. It was obvious.

How in the world did that Aggie fan actually think they had more fans there?

I have no idea. I have no idea how the announcers could have said that either. It was obviously an Arkansas crowd.

I've been all three years. First year, I thought A&M had a slight edge. Last year, Arkansas had a slight edge fan-wise.

This year it wasn't really close.

It was something like "as much as they talk about this being 50/50, it's all Aggies right now". He was referring crowd noice/excitement, but didn't say that specifically, so it kind of came across as the place was filled with A&M fans. This was in the 1st quarter when the Hogs were getting rolled and didn't have much to cheer about.

I will again remind y'all that the thread title is false and Arky did not sell out their allotment either.

There were plenty of good seats empty on their side as well.

IMO that shows that neither schools fans really enjoy the trip to the Death Star and that the game needs to be a home and home series.

If a game in Dallas is really needed to get DFW recruits then they need to both just hook up with SMU, TCU, or North Texas at the Cotton Bowl

The following is not false: we had way more fans than you at the game despite the game being in Texas, you guys having many more alumni in DFW and your campus being 150 miles closer to Dallas than ours.

LOL, so much for that loyal, deep-pocketed Texas A&M fanbase who will play anyone, anywhere, at any time. Which leads me to

You other folks should've heard the Aggies when this neutral-site game was contrived just three or four short years ago. About how fan-friggin'-tastic Cowboys Stadium was, and how trashy and run down the Cotton Bowl was. Of course, that was to stick it in the face of the University of Texas, which is all they care about.

Now, they want to play in the Cotton Bowl. What a bunch of front-running losers.

Whatever. You go pay $300 for a regular season game. I bit the bullet and bought some expensive arse seats but its extremely hard to justify for most people, especially in a crappy economy.

Never mind that, again, Arky also did not sell out their side and that simply shows neither side cares for the venue. Turning that fact into Aggie hate is laughable and sad.

What a load of typical spin doctored t-sip horseshite.

There are plenty of Aggies that still love Cowboys Stadium and hate the Cotton Bowl.

There were also plenty when this series first started that wanted nothing to do with JerryWorld and preferred the game to be a home and home or at the Cotton if it really had to be in Dallas.

I was never one of those that was pumped about going out to Arlington. I have always disliked Cowboys Stadium and always preferred the Cotton Bowl as a college football venue.

However, I also said clearly in the post that I want the game as a home and home. I'd take the Cotton Bowl over Cowboys Stadium but I was suggesting that A&M/Arky goes home and home and start up a series with a different team in DFW if they feel playing in that area is necessary for recruiting.

So you can kiss my hairy arse with that bullshite front runner crap.

I think both schools might be able to guarantee themselves more revenue if they found a slightly lower price point that would ensure a sell-out every year.

If Arkansas can ever get to the game undefeated, I think we can bring 40k+.
