Sherwood, are you a part of Brian O'Neills Running Club on tuesday? Free food and discount beer after your run. Plus tons of good "motivation" to follow around the trail.

I wish there was a way, but sadly there is not...

No although I have heard about it. Sounds like fun

A lot of tu's traditions have come in response to A&M or copying A&M.
They named their cow Bevo to hide the 13-0 we branded him with.
They started using the hook'em hand sign after we started using the Gig'em hand sign
Their class ring looks very similar to ours since the last 10 years and they even turn it after graduation like we do
The list goes on and on for both sides. Except one school pretends it doesn't

I doubt that there is any attempt to make a coordinated effort to stop A&M from joining the SEC.
The question I have is with the forthcoming announcement from Missouri that they are staying in the Big 12, at what point does the SEC just say the hell with it and refuse to accept A&M due to the the Big 12's unwillingness to all sign the waiver. The longer this drags out the more likely that the SEC begins to realize that any of the potential 2 school combinations now will be an overall net loss for the conference.
The ACC is now essentially not an option. Missouri says they are staying in the Big 12. The BE schools don't provide the market to make any move a profitable one. I would be more worried if I was A&M of this mirroring the MLB's approach with Crane attempting to buy the Astros. By leaving it alone and letting it wither on the vine the SEC might just end up forcing A&M back to the Big 12.
As much as people keep saying that A&M would go independent first, there is no way their AD could survive without the TV revenue to go independent on short notice. I doubt it happens but the more it drags out, the greater the fear should be for A&M.

lax, A&M is in the SEC. It just hasn't been announced yet. There's no scenario in which A&M is not in the SEC starting in 2012. Slive has continually assured our acceptance isn't dependent upon a 14th team. The SEC will sit at 13 until a suitable 14th team is found.
WVU isn't that team BTW. They are more likely to replace us in the B12 than join us in the SEC
