Playing teams from Texas is fun. I really miss the state bragging rights from being in the SWC and welcome any chance to play teams from this state.

Hell, I didn't even really want to end the series with Baylor and I'm sure many Aggies would have been fine keeping them on the schedule had Ken Starr not freaked out. I'm guessing we don't play Baylor until he is no longer at the school.

Tech will be the SWC/Big 12 team I miss the least but its not like I hate them and would refuse to play.

That said, its not going to kill us to miss out on playing texas, Texas Tech or Baylor.

We can always call up SMU (who we have 3 more games scheduled with), North Texas, Houston, UTEP, UTSA, Rice, and Texas State if we want to play 1A teams in state. Hell, I wouldn't be shocked if TCU was willing to play us as well since they wouldn't even be in the Big 12 had we not left. There are also several Texas FCS teams we could play. We could even play another Louisiana team like ULM, ULL, or Tulane to try and get some more LA recruits.

In the end it sucks that they don't want to continue the series but if they think it will hurt us long run they are mistaken.

Also, if for some reason DeLoss Dodds is gone before 2018 (or whatever other arbitrary date he sets) I am confident we will immediately start the series back up.

IMO, this has become about his ego more than anything.
