I disagree. It will show that aTm has grown a pair and there will finally be something that aTm can use to sell against Texas in the recruiting wars.

UT hasn't been put in a bad spot. They are the crown jewel of the Big 12 and they won't suffer. This could be good for the Ags, though.

But, the official continued, “The schools on the West Coast just don’t see the benefit of Baylor. The Pac-10 is talking more about Kansas and Utah because they bring different (television) markets. Baylor’s been lobbying everybody around Texas. They need to be lobbying California.”

Sounds like they are getting ready for the Aggies to "see ya."

I'm disappointed in Oklahoma. I've always liked OU and they seem to fit into the SEC. But seems like they don't have the balls and want to kiss Texas's arse. Their AD is following Texas around like a deer in rut.

I disagree, the ability of ATM to pitch the SEC to recruits while UT was playing in Corvallis, OR against inferior competition would be huge for them.

I think A&M wants to come over to the SEC. I think the only thing stopping them right now is Texas. Saw it reported earlier from ESPN reporter who spoke to both parties earlier this morning that A&M is wanting Texas to make them a promise their Thanksgiving day annual meeting would not change. If they were to agree I think they bolt to the SEC while Texas moves on to the Pac.

It's not over yet. Be interesting if OU wavered. UT would have a fit. Possibly losing their two biggest rivals at the same time? Whoa! UT would fold like a cheap tent if OU and A&M threw in together and charmed the SEC.

+1

The puzzling thing is they seem completely oblivious to the power they have to choose their own fate

Say Texas gets mad if OU splits for the SEC? So what? The worst they could do would be to stop playing Texas - which would be retarded for Texas. OU would still be all over national television with matchups against LSU, Bama, A&M, and Florida - while Texas tried to muster up interest in their games against Texas Tech and Arizona

To accept PAC 16 offer per Audtin American Statesman.

It would be justice for the Ags to tell the Hookems to shove it up their a** & head to the nation's top football conference.
