to make their conference an even 12 teams.

or perhaps a lucky 13. oops.

main point of my post still stands. As long as they get their NotreDame, they add some hitty school still left to fill out the string to 14 teams

That read to me like one source was trying to illicit the response you gave and hopefully torpedo the deal.

The MO fans I've seen have all been excited about the SEC chance.

If I was Missouri I'd want the Big10 More also.

B1G - $22.3M per school in 2010 with only 11 teams and no conference championship game.

SEC - $18.3M per school in 2010 with 12 teams and a championship game.

It's easier to see the B1G has more upside in the money department. Missouri better stop turning their nose up at the SEC because this league is VERY marketable.

You make a good point, but no one knows what future numbers will look like. The SEC passed on the conference network, and after 1 year it looked like the Big 10 Network was a bust. Now that the SEC has seen that network start to flourish, there will be an SEC Network. Adding Texas is huge for this new revenue stream, and clearly a major reason Mizzou is desirable.
