Why? With TAMU being a conference game now and staying at Jerry World they need to do SOMETHING and Fayetteville is MUCH nicer than Little Rock and that dump of a stadium.

Granted it is MUCH nicer, but I can see why you would want it moved. It makes sense for Arkansas. You sell more tickets. You just gotta cut us a slice of the pie because it's a long drive.

Tuscaloosa to
Columbia- 620 miles
Fayetteville - 550 miles
College Station- 630 miles
For LSU fans, Baton Rouge to Columbia = 773 miles

My main concern is losing the Third Saturday and the Iron Bowl. Unfortunately, I think that one or the other is no longer going to be an annual matchup. Possibly even both. If Slive does this, the SEC office is going to need to pack up and move out of BHam. I'm sure LSU fans will pay for the moving vans.

The whole line of reasoning behind adding Missouri is retarded. Who cares how big their TV market is? No one in Missouri gives a shite about Missouri football. Do you think Mizzou brings any additional eyeballs to TV sets nation-wide? If Missouri cared about college football they wouldn't have remained irrelevant for the last 75 years. Hell, Clemson (Clemson!) has more national cache than Mizzou. I thik the SEC is saddling itself with a loser.

Completely untrue, St. Louis is a big Mizzou town, Kansas City not so much. And if you don't understand the TV market issue, you're too stupid to argue with anyways.

Still a lot of new TV sets in KC/STL. Also Mizzou has tons of grads in the Media arena, something to think about.

by car or tugboat?

I think Bama keeps both.
Nothing much football related would upset me more than losing either of the two rivalries.

Mizzou is the extra footprint thing.
You also have to remember the real key here.... the PAC-12 and B1G have re-upped with newer, more lucrative TV contracts than the SEC's "mega-deal" they signed just 2 years ago.
This expansion is a trigger point to go back to the bargaining table with the TV networks and place the SEC back on top again with the biggest current deal. That's really what this is about. You can bet that the SEC and TV networks have been talking already and probably specifically about what the potential new markets any new teams would bring.

There's only a 42 mile difference b/w BR to Mizzou vs USCe

True but LSU will be playing Mizzou each year, while rarely playing USC.
Another thing to keep in mind, basketball and baseball travel will be terrible.
Basketball sans divisions will mean much more travel. Now with the two possible additions and the dropping of the divisions many long midweek road trips will be standard.
