You'd think there would at least be some chatter by now.

I know it's only10:40 and all but with something so crucial for so many teams I'd think at least one LSU or UM official would lay out what's going to happen. Personally I think Les is hoping LSU sees the light and finally restructures his contract. Remember, he wasn't rolled over the previous two years. IMO, if LSU plays hardball he's gone.

If I'm LSU, the only way I DON'T play hardball, is if he agrees to dismiss Crowton. Then, we can negotiate in good faith. Otherwise, I tell Les that I respect and admire his loyalty to his assistants, and that he can further demonstrate that loyalty by taking Crowton to Ann Arbor with him.

Les is simply being the good guy here. He is giving LSU time to call up Mullen, or whoever is going to be the next coach and making sure they have a coach ready to go when he announces.

I personally think he's letting his kids bask in the glory for a little while before making any kind of an announcement. He doesn't want to take anything away from them.

All is anxiety-driven speculation, until UM announces whatever they will announce. I'd love to hear "Our next Wolverine in Chief will be.... Nick Saban." Of course the seismic impact on Tuscaloosa would be gargantuan in scope.
