Would we have landed Riley if we started today?

Up until yesterday his team was still in contention for the CFP. I don’t care what you think no coach is signing a deal or leaving when his team can still win it all. It just ain’t happening. But now all that is done. I think we came on too hard too early and it backed him into a corner. If we ratcheted up the negotiations now I think we’d have had a different outcome but that ship has already sailed apparently.

No, he was negotiating with OU and used LSU for leverage.
