Saban could do a 2-3 year stint, stabilize the franchise and retire.

Why the hell would he want the stress of taking over a team that's a complete dumpster fire? Saints suck, the roster is old, the QB situation is bad, and Loomis has the Saints in a horrible salary cap situation for at least the next couple of seasons. So there's no room for improvement via free agency when you have no cap space and you're probably going to have to make tough decisions on trading or letting current players walk because the Saints are over the cap for next year already.

Saban has a cushy job at ESPN supposedly making around $9M a year to be on TV for a few hours a week talking college football and having fun, without any of the stress of being a coach. No way he leaves that to take another shot at the NFL unless it was a team with a legit Super Bowl contending roster in place already.

Hell no. He’s had a broken hip and is almost 80 years old.

Had full control at Miami, failed.

If he had full control Brees would have been a Dolphin and not a Saint.

They didn't like the injury with Brees. Dr's failed him.
