Possible DB coach at AU?
He was a dumpster fire as a DC but UGA fans says hes a good DB coach.

Some UGA fans think he is, and some do not. However, should BVG bring him in I will defer to his expertise.

I have heard some UGA fans complain that when he was DC at UGA his corners played 10 yds. off and played the eyes and didn't turn to look for the ball. Sound Familiar? But at the same time they say that when he was only DB coach that the secondary was very good.

Willie Martinez. Was DB coach at UGA under Van Gorder and took over the DC job after he left. He sucked as a DC but he was alright as a DB coach and he is a damn strong recruiter.

i don't think all UGA fans think he is a good DB coach, just some posters here. i am not one of the latter.

The DBs were good under Willie as their coach because the LBs and DLine was outstanding. After Willie became DC the entire defense started to get soft. After he had been DC for a few seasons the Georgia defense was weak and the DBs had no clue how to defend anything in front of them.
Willie won't make a defense better. Why do you think Oklahoma is dumping him?

I remember this. But to be fair, any good secondary will look mediocre when your front seven sucks.
