Will Ohio State co-OC Kevin Wilson be available after January 1?

Wilson put up impressive passing numbers at every stop. Particularly this year at OSU, and 2002 to 2010 at Oklahoma (including the Sam Bradford years)
He is co-OC with Ryan Day at Ohio State. Some rumors that Day will substantially revamp the staff. Day has said he will announce his coaching changes after Jan 1.

Some guys are better off as coordinators and position coaches. Wilson may be a one of those guys. And he can make 7 figures (he's at $750K now) as an OC without all the headaches of the HC.

I have no idea why you got a downvote. Wilson checks a lot of boxes.
He'd be a great addition to LSU and he's okay being a Co-OC.

Would LOVE for him as OC.
everything is a tease until O crushes everyone's hopes.

stats, you mentioned in another thread that Briles is the 2nd best offensive mind in college football.
Who is #1? Just curious.

Great point as to Wilson's willingness to be a co-OC. He is a low profile type of guy. Has had no problem letting Ryan Day take nearly all the credit for Ohio State's high-powered offense. In fact, he seems to prefer staying out of the limelight.

Wasn’t Day the play caller this year? I thought that I had read that

My understanding is that Day was the primary playcaller until the Purdue loss (in that game Haskins threw the ball 73 times - yup, 73). After Purdue, they went back to the Meyer, Day, Wilson consensus calling. And Haskins ran much more. And Tate Martell came in for quite a few Red Zone situations.
