If this happens, it ruins Alleva's plan. To settle on a plan where a coordinator is your foundation for success and building around that is silly. If Aranda is gone, this entire football programs folds until another defensive coordinator is found. Defense has been the lifeblood of this team for decades. If he leaves it undermines the coaching hire completely. Alleva made a big mistake. Now he has to pay the assistants as much as the head coach to stay.

Aranda already stated he was staying and on top of it he will get a hefty raise.

Aranda is not going to make another lateral move two years in a row. His next move will be a head coaching job if he wants it.
