Why would an AD ever trust a coach’s agent?

AD’s are getting burned all over the place by agents who have no interest other than driving up the price for their own guy and and getting him a lucrative extension. Eventually their lack of credibility has to work against their clients…. Right? Maybe not.

What can an AD do to guard against that? Nothing?

I really despise sports agents, and wish I was one.
