So I gather he said he wasn't interested, right?
Perhaps he wants to see how it all shakes out with Miles before he officially said he's interested? I mean, he would look like a jackass to his fan base and to the media if he said he was interested.

When did he say he wasn't interested. Also, other than this board, I didn't think that it was a notable rumor yet.

We heard the Spurrier rumor for weeks here when we were in our coaching search. I heard it was a done deal and then bam!!, he shitcans us. Never officially released by BAMA that we went after him but I know we did. Mal Moore took Joe Namath with him to Miami to get Saban, I know that. I do thnk Spurrier is ready to leave USC now and LSU would be a prime time job in my opinion. I personally still think Saban takes the job if Miles leaves.

Seriously, having to pay a college coach 4 mil per year with hefty guarantees and no buyout is pure desperation! Scoop, what would it say for Bama if Saban left after only ONE YEAR and took a pay cut to come back to LSU?

Yes, I most certainly do. As for knowing people, all I will say is that I worked a long time for a certain doctor in Birmingham that has LSU ties, and I have done my fair share of ACL repairs and Tommy John procedures. I will not name him so don't ask, just use reason. You can guess and I will not answer you. I can tell you that I have been to many Christmas party's at his home and so has Paul F.
If Miles leaves I am of the opinion that coach Saban will be the next coach at LSU.
