Why so much John Gruden Love?

He won a super bowl in his first year with the Bucs behind an insane defense after a couple succesful years with Oakland.
He is an offensive guy, and I can't think of any Tampa offenses he coached that were spectacular in any way.
Slowly faded away as the years went by after the 2002 super bowl season.
The guy is more of an OC than a HC IMO.
Please explain how this guy could run an elite college program.

I don't get it either...he's high profile so those with limited knowledge(most) on here flock to him like flies on..
