Fantastic post. Kevin Steele would be a grand slam homerun hire. The guy is a defensive legend. He built Baylor football from the ground up before handing the keys over to the Guy who handed the keys over to Art Briles.

Steele's head-coaching record speaks for itself. He's had successful tenures as head football coach at two SEC institutions, Auburn and Tennessee.

Little known fact, Steele has the fewest total losses (1) among all men who have served as HC at two different SEC schools (ahead of the likes of Bear Bryant, Nick Saban, Lane Kiffin, Steve Spurrier, Coach O. and Sen. Thomas Tubberville).

We still had like 500 yards and they couldn’t stop clyde in the second half. Our problem that day was red zone

How much longer before someone starts crying for Pelini to come back?

Maybe we should give fat boy Chavis a call?

As an Auburn fan, I’ll admit I melted when Steele was hired mostly based on his stint at Clemson….but our defenses were tough as hell under him.

I’d hate to see him go to LSU

I would bet both my testicles as they sit in a testicle guillotine that Kevin Steele is a smarter person than Ed fricking Orgeron.

The difference here is Joe Alleva is the real moron and allowed it.

Kevin Steele runs a VERY base 4-3... If you like the defense running the same two plays every single game then by all means... 4-3 cover 2 and 2 high man to man.. Bend don't break.. Never any blitzes.. No pressure unless you Dlinemen are ELITE. which is why that one auburn defense was good. But if they aren't get ready to get CARVED UP... The CBs play 10 yards off the ball. It is a truly frustrating defense to watch
