Stoops would be sort of a “let down,” but he’d do a good job here.

That’s a terrible thing to say about a Coach,
Shoneys sucks, he has definitely moved up to a Waffle House manager or ACE hardware floor manager on weekends

I honestly don’t get it. He got Kentucky their first 10 win season since the 70’s in 2018 and 9-3 this year is the best non Stoops season they’ve had since the 80’s. He’s improved their recruiting a lot too, they were routinely in the 40’s/50’s before and now he has them in the top 25 regularly.

Where do I start….

He’s had exactly 2 winning seasons in the SEC with a down East most of his tenure. He pads his stats and wins OOC.

His offense makes ours look dynamic and creative. Their “improved” scheme and new OC have them at 10th in the SEC in passing.

He’s never recruited a QB as good as Max Johnson. Their current guy is a transfer. With the rep he has, he never will, either.

He has built UK to be a Big 10 style team and is recruiting the Midwest hard. That’s fine for them since they have no identity in football and it’s where he has connections. If he wants to leave UK and move up the ladder, THAT is where he needs to go. A place like Iowa would be perfect for him. His style is not portable to any other SEC program except maybe Mizzou. Either he’s a square peg in a round hole, or he’s reinventing himself in a pressure-cooker job.

As for recruiting, who the frick isn’t in the top 25 yearly now? As it stands today, only Ole Miss and Vandy fall outside of that. Two lame duck SEC programs have classes close to his. He’s just raised them to the mean. There’s nothing impressive about that.

There is SOOOOOOO much not to like about Stoops at any bigger SEC program.

It is like getting a gift certificate to Ruth’s Chris, waiting 6 weeks for you big meal and being served a Big Mac after you order the porterhouse for 2.

Are you really considering hiring a coach who has 58-53 overall W-L record and a 28-45 SEC record?

It would be the end of LSU football as we have known it for the past two decades.

To be fair, Campbell is over a decade younger and has built up 2 programs instead of being in the same place for 9 years.

He didn’t build Toledo.

Dinardo never had a winning season at Vandy, not really the same thing

Curley wasn’t even at a p5 much less another SEC school.

They weren’t whales either
