Well, that would be reckless and against what I have said all along. I only relay information I know to be 100% true. The numbers are just numbers until they are signed, or at least close to being signed.

What I can add to the pile today that I know is that there is truth to Lane being less concerned with the salary and guaranteed numbers. LSU went all in with their offer, and there is also truth to Lane being very motivated by the NIL situation around LSU.

I expect the final base salary number to be a bit lower than what is being thrown around, but there to be more incentives around winning.

For example (and no these are not the numbers) if you are guaranteed $10M per year but have incentives that takes your ceiling up to $15M. I doubt anyone would complain about their coach making $15M if he just won a NC but might if he underperformed and only won 9 games the previous year.

Hopefully that helps. As promised, when I find out that the contract is getting written i will give you all the high level numbers. And as I said yesterday, the main thing I am confident in is that LK will be the next football coach at LSU. I won't be wrong, but yes, ban bet in place.
