To answer the thread, Gus isn't going anywhere unless he's offered an unrealistic amount of money. He's turned down higher paying jobs for jobs he has felt more comfortable with before. He seems pretty comfortable in Auburn

I'd be absolutely shocked if Texas makes a play on him even with the year we're having and the upside he shows.
If I'm in their position I want someone with comparable success proven over a longer period.
I'm excited by Malzahn and what he's doing here but I'm not sure a team in Texas' position isn't going to look at a list of more veteran coaches before getting to him.
If they make an offer then obviously they're one of 2-3 schools in the country where it would be a clear step up from Auburn if you want to see it that way.
