his defenses have been legit and the talent they are sending to NFL is on par with Bama and LSU

He's been a terrific coordinator for a long time

Maybe he's content doing that?

He's also known for stealing signs during games, which is funny to me

Exxxxxactly.

A pro coordinator position is such a better job. Same or better pay and no recruiting. He can just be his fringe autism spectrum genius savant self and stare at film 40 hours a week in the offseason.

Maybe he's waiting for Stoops to retire at Oklahoma. He can keep doing what Stoops has been doing: keep the defense going strong and leave the offense up to the OC.

I've said this many times, on this board, downvoted to hell. Knuckledraggers can't comprehend that some guys don't want all the extra bullshite that comes with being a college head coach.

As an LSU and saints fan, how would you feel if DA went to the saints?

It's not that. It's that people like you make an assumption off of no facts other than he isn't a HC right now.

Sure there are coordinators that have no desire to be a HC. But they are the minority. Why would you assume the less probable possibility?

He was a candidate at Arkansas when we hired Petrino.

I'd like to see him considered again if Bert gets axed.

Rather him at LSU, but if he went anywhere else, that's my pick.

He'll be a great DC on any level.

Didn't we have a "policy" going back to Broyles that we never hired coordinators for head coaching jobs?

Not that it matters now but I remember reading that during the last coaching search somewhere. I wouldn't mind it either.

Some people enjoy recruiting and working with young guys as opposed to a bunch a divas that make more money than you.
