Not to sound like a pretentious elitist. I know there are posters that get their daily fix by doing so. I'm not one of those posters. This isn't a post to flame, but instead hopefully arise some common sense within a few posters. I have occasionally ventured over to the Rant and as most will agree was stupefied at the lack of intelligence present there at times. I simply chalked this up to a common cause we all face: emotions.

This coaching fiasco has really opened my eyes though. After reading some of these irrational chicken little and bizarre post it's become evident that our fan base may be one of the most passionate and feared, but there's no doubt Louisiana's subpar educational trackrecord is represented well here.

Now that I lit a little fire and anger in some of you:

A)Miles stays: We are in great hands until he retires.
B)Miles Leaves: LSU will hire a coach as good or better. Anyone that has truly met Miles and worked with him knows he doesn't work harder or longer than the next guy and he's no football mastermind. He's a damn solid CEO coach tho. If you can't believe we can find that, then come back when you drop a pair.
C) There is no conspiracy. No one knows anything other than Miles.

Be patient. Relax. Whatever happens, LSU will prevail on top. With or without Miles.

He's a damn good recruiter though, especially defense. And that isn't always so easy to find.

Agreed.

Eh, the AD could frick up the hire. Miles is a fantastic recruiter. That's not easy to predict when you look at the candidates. For example, I think Pelini is an excellent Xs and Os guy but he's not known as an awesome recruiter. Will his gameday skills + being LSU trump Miles' recruiting aptitude, I don't know.

Not sure I follow but I agree that only Miles knows (and his agent)
