If we don't get Kiffin there are other coaches in this country who are very good OC
If we don't get Jimbo or Herman there are other coaches in this country who are very good HCs...yet we hired Orgeron.
I have zero faith we hire any good coach as OC. The bar has been set, and it is much lower than good.

How do you lose something that isn't yours (Kiffin)?

Hopefully we don't land Kiffen. There are way to many assistant coaches and head coaches that are more talented that will come for 1.5 to 2 million a year. The coaches from Tulsa or Western Kentucky come to mind.
Same with the DC. There are some rock star coaches.
Does anyone truly believe Coach O can handle high profile and big ego coaches?

If that happens do we ditch CEO and reopen the search for head coach?

I would say the one ones you are claiming to be spineless bitches are in fact just realists.
bullshite. The realists are sitting back and withholding judgement until things play out. We don't know where Kiffin will go. We don't know who else may be pursued if he does take another job. We don't know how recruiting will play out. We don't know if Texas is really still in play for Aranda. We don't know shite.
Yet, a large chunk of this board is running around like the entire program is on the verge of collapse. That is NOT realistic. That is based on people's subjective opinion of the current situation. There isn't enough real information to make an objective call beyond LSU settling for O rather than conducting a broader search. That one decision isn't enough to assume total collapse.

Learn how to spell Kiffin and then maybe I'll listen to your opinion on the matter

It was all in that fricking binder that Derek Ponamsky put together for O, however they didn't have everything shored up as they promised Alleva and Alleva needs to be terminated from his employment immediately for falling for this line of crap.
Posted on 12/3/16 at 3:29 pm to Watchmaker
Yeah , we really should because that would mean there was nothing but bullshite in the famous binder that Ponamsky prepared, so that tells me that O BSed his way thru the interview and should be terminated and just start the whole damn thing over minus Alleva. Keep his arse away from LSU as far as possible, the dude is a fricking cancer to this once hallowed program

I just hope that O is not putting all of his chips on Kiffin and is waiting on him to make a decision while the pool of good available OC's dwindles. That would be expected.

I guarantee y'all that Orgeron has a list of candidates after Kiffin that will be as good, if not better than him.
I guarantee you that LSU will look to hire an established offensive minded head coach!
