He wouldn’t be a coach or the face of the program. He would simply be a consultant. If he is still too toxic in a year, then I guess stand by and watch as someone else hires him away. This is O’s only chance to save face (and probably his job) after the Ensminger hire. It’s so freaking obvious that I know we will never do it.

After a year, you send Ensminger back to TE coach, which is what he wants anyway, and you promote Freeze.

I sure hope this shite show doesn't continue long enough.

Not to mention... what you are basically advocating is that we should have our FOURTH OC in as many years. How long do we give O to keep tinkering with the staff b/c he isn't capable of getting it right the first time or even the second?

it would give O some cover from the public fallout from the Ensminger hire.

frick cover, he didn't deserve the HC job when he got it. We shouldn't tolerate frick ups along the way.

This just makes way way too much sense, therefore, the LSU administration won't do it, considering we all know by now they never do anything that makes sense.

Maybe this is the only way to get Freeze to the OC position. If O isn’t going to do a real search for OC, adding Freeze to the support staff is the only way I have any faith in the direction of this program.
