I was thinking the same thing. With Myer and Saban both in title hunts, I think the "Miles to Michigan" precedent has caused ND to sit back and try to struggle through one more season, and then make a strong run for one of their "big 2" over the next few months. Very likely that one of these guys coaches in the NC game, and with a win there, he would be prime for a new "challenge" in South Bend.

It'll be interesting to see if they fire the DC Brown and promote Tenuta. The defense wasn't as much the problem as the offense was though. Mike Haywood is likely out on the street.
