We might not be able to get Mike Leach but.....

We could get the next best thing.... inside receivers coach Lincoln Riley. He's been under Leach's system for a couple of years, knows it well, and is doing a good job calling the plays tonight.

Texas Tech's offense could not win the SEC. just like TT has never won the Big 12.

No.... Texas Tech's offense was never the reason they didn't win the Big 10. They never play defense.

first of all TT doesn't play in the Big 10. and secondly, here's a sample of TT vs. the SEC:
2008 Cotton Bowl
Old Miss - 47
TT - 34
2005 Cotton Bowl
Alabama - 13
TT - 10
1998 Indy Bowl
Old Miss - 35
TT - 18

A total of 62 points... not great but not terrible. But my point is, look how many points they GAVE UP to Ole Miss both Cotton Bowls.
And by the way, who the hell is OLD MISS?

TT scored more against Ole Miss last year than Florida did and only 3 points less against Oklahoma (with an infinitely worse defense).

you cannot win consistently in the SEC if you don't run the ball and run it well. TT's offense does not employ the run. it would get stomped. i promise.

That is my only concern with the Texas Tech offense, they are a little too pass happy for the SEC sometimes.

That's great except Texas Tech had the same success against common opponents as Florida who carved up the SEC last year. Mike Leach is as intelligent a coach as you will find in the country who adjusts his attack to the personnel he has and runs the ball efficiently when he has running backs. With the kind of talent LSU can bring in (especially the receivers we always have), the air raid would be a nightmare for opponents.

High flying shite works for at least half the game....that is until your defense gets dog arse tired from the offense scoring so fast or stalling out without running any clock out due to incomplete passes. Defense on the field all night will give points up.
