How about being a quality coach before bitching about being black. that would be great.

Bc some people are insecure. I agree it should be based on merit. Tons of black coaches in CFB and none of them to my knowledge have even sniffed the playoffs nor the BCS title

Just curious... Has anyone who matters actually said they only like him because he is black?

You should hire the most qualified person for the job. Just because someone is black shouldn't be a legit reason for hiring them. It's bullshite. The best man for the job should get it period , regardless of race. These kind of people make me sick and are what's wrong with this country. I don't get how some of these people would want to be given a job just because they're black anyway, it's not like saying you get the job because you're the best option, yiu get the job bc you're black...lol, that's sad. What is this country coming to? Giving something to a lesser qualified candidate based on race? I wouldn't want a job because of that, I want it bc I'm the best man for the job, not bc I am being given it when I'm not the most qualified. What a joke.

What will Tee's pc go like

UT is such a great school I would have my own kids go here ( his son plays for Clemson)

I'm very loyal to the school especially when Lane left for USC and picked USC over UT after leaving Kentucky

Most of the UT fans would welcome Tee Martin with open arms.

Not at HC. If they do it's cause he's black more than if he'll be successful.

I'd take Kevin Steele. Tee can come in as OC, and take it from there. What he's in his 2nd season as an OC, and his qualified to be HC at UT??

The Legion of the Miserable will eat him alive in a few yrs ruining his special place in UT history.

He'll have his arse handed to him as HC at UT.

Same as Strong at Louisville when got the Texas gig. Not enough experience or skins on the wall to get that gig. (Texas) Was in totally over his head and it showed.

Same with Tee Martin. Not qualified.

The Tennessee job will swallow him up and spit him out in 3 years or so. Takes more to be a successful Head Coach in the SEC than being a "Great Recruiter."

Some AD's just never learn their lessons...........
