Urban? You people have zero pride, morals, and integrity.
Hey Gump, show us on the Doll where Urban touched you.

For nearly 15 years LSU fans have had to live with the fact Saban was here, before leaving to try his hand at the NFL, only to return to CFB at Alabama because of fluke timing (Shula had a poor 2006 after a good 2005 season; while Saban simultaneously concluded the NFL just wasn't for him) to then dominate LSU, the SEC, and the nation for over a decade...and counting. That opportune timing COULD be favoring LSU this year. Arguably the 2nd best college coach in the last 20 years realizes the NFL isn't for him at the SAME time LSU is looking for a new coach.
Alabama was a good program before 2007, but the stars aligned at the end of 2006 to allow them the opportunity to hire a coach who would go on to win 6 national championship
Ohio St. was a really good program prior to 2012. They had no plans to fire their HC until being essentially forced to in 2011. If they do so a year earlier or a year later Urban Meyer may not have been available. But the timing worked out perfectly to get him there.
I get that people have issues with Urban. But many times tremendous success comes as a result of taking advantage of fortuitous timing. Now could be that window for LSU

I’d take Urban in a heart beat…. with the “baggage.” We’d have six to eight good years of national championship contending football.

yup. i never saw CUM as a NFl HC. he is a college guy like saban, spurrier, erickson, etc.
i mean only 3 coaches have won nattys and super bowls.
jimmy johnson
barry switzer
pete carroll
if we can get CUM here and win a couple nattys in 6 years then he retires for good i will take that in a new york second.
