He would probably be a good hire but if the 49ers can Harbaugh (and after saying for months that Harbaugh would be the 49ers coach in 2015, I've finally changed my mind) then they have to nail the next hire out of the park.
That could be Shaw but I'm thinking they opt to get (at least) a career NFL coordinator type.
