UNLV Basketball Opening

Tark won a title there and had 4 Final Fours.
They had Lon Kruger recently as well.
With Dave Rice being fired, who can they lure to Vegas?
Rice could recruit, he just sucked as a coach.
Kelvin Sampson is a rumor, but him in Vegas seems destined for a shite show.

Local radio has been putting out these names:
Lavin
Thunder Dan Majerle
Steve Henson (OU assistant and was on Kruger staff at UNLV)
Sampson
Hutson (SDSU assistant that was on Rice staff the two years UNLV made tourney)
Also have heard Mike Brown (not sure why, but have heard it a few times)
The interm coach has the backing of some influential people here so I could see them promoting him if he does well the rest of the season. I still think they have the best roster talent wise in the Mountain West. So they could make a run in the MW tournament.
If you can keep some of the talent from Bishop Gorman and Findlay Prep, no reason UNLV shouldn't be competitive every year.
I think Rice was making $650,000, so don't think they can lure any good mid major/major coaches to come here as don't think they can open up the wallets.
Also been a shite show with Augmon wife going on her twitter rant about him not being promoted.

Augmon? Gonna teach them how to gang bang, fight and steal. Lavin isn't a great fit. West Coast ties, slick look, solid coach
