They all wanted their guy who won 10 games a year gone. They wanted their guy who was from Georgia and had a love for their program.

Les wasn't winning 10 games this year, which is unacceptable given how many returning starters we had and the DC we'd just hired.

Miles was fired in September, so this doesn't really work.
Also: Richt won 10+ games 7 times in his 15 years. This "he wins 10 a year" meme is just ridiculous. Richt lost at least 3 games a year in 9 of the final 10 years he was in Athens, as well.
Georgia probably didn't like hiring Kirby Smart to replace Richt, but that seems to be the trend: hire someone less expensive after the tenured coach, and then go big if that coach fails to get the job done.
