Getting that Big-12 expertise.
I hope it works out well for Pelini, and it appears that it will. But, you have to think Gill is now in position to land the Husker job the next time it opens again?
Unless he builds KU to Big-12 elite levels, which Mason and Mangino flirted with for a season or two, yet couldn't sustain.

he wont. there just isn't enough of a talent pool and kansas isn't going to get recruits that texas, lsu, oklahoma, iowa, etc want.

I agree, and it's why I think Nebraska will never win to the levels they did under Devane and Osborne prior to the newer era scholarship and walk-on limits.
That and roids testing for the old Husker teams.
