If these are the best we can get then we need to throw the money at Miles. I think Patterson is in a great position now with TCUs move to the weak Big East. He probably gets more money if we just call to inquire about him too...

Not even close that we get Spurrier away from Augusta and Hootie. People need to stop dreaming of Saban, why would he leave a top program for another top program, just dumb, his next challenge will be to prove himself one day in the NFL again. Why do people keep bringing up Gruden? He was successful in the NFL, not in college, no one knows if he would be any good in the college ranks.

1. Patterson
2. Mullen
3. Peterson
4. Sarkisian
5. Pelini

Get him! He can put the crazy Jedi move on the football and make it go where ever he wants.

That's actually pretty good. Petersen/Sark might not fit in the SEC/south and Patterson will be a tough get. frick Pelini but I bet he's on the very short list.

I still think Spurrier would jump for $3 million, could fly to Augusta when he wants. The dude wants to win NCs and I think we'd win 2 or 3 with him in the next 6 years. He'll want to coach into his 70s. He is one of the best SEC coaches of all time. Saban is my second choice and this would absolutely kill Bama. Saban rebuilt LSU and has a love for this community. Pay him $6 million plus bonus and take a few Bama recruits along the way. Patterson scares me. He has not had to play near the schedule we do every year. Pelini is not a great HC. Dan Mullen would be good. John Gruden, why not? Tubberville, please no. Sarkisian and Strong may be risky but could be good long term if either are interested. If we want to win a NC next year we need to pay a proven SEC coach.

You guys really think Spurrier would not be better than most of these new names? This cat is winning at South Carolina, a terrible football school. LSU recruits itself. I've seen it for 40 years kids...

Yes.

Spurrier is well past his prime. He doesn't have the same fire as before (not that I blame him). He spends as much time on the golf course as he does in the film room.
