We got to see his version of the program.

No we didn't. we got to see Aranda's and Ensminger's version of the program. Not sure how much strategic involvement O had other than motivating the troops.

But you know a lot of tier-2 programs will be vey interested to lure him away for HC job because of what he did during this "interview".

Exactly - why would LSU want a HC who would be the 1st choice of any Tier-2 program? O would never be the 1st choice of any Tier 1 program in the country.

Why wouldn't you care about the one time he had full reign over a program?

There's a lot more that goes into being a full time HC than an interim one...

For the 38th time, because what he did a decade ago in his first job matters like 1% to me. What he's done lately is much more relevant.

I'm not worried about his ability to make big hires, recruit the right players, put his players and coaches in position to succeed.

Herman is my #1 follow by Jimbo but if we can't get them, I'm fully in support of Oeaux.

I just don't think that makes a lot of sense considering that's the only track record he has as a full time HC.

Even if we miss on Herman and Fisher there are other coaches out there who are proven successes as full time program managers.

O should go get a smaller job and if he does a good job there for 4 or 5 years then he deserves consideration for LSU

It makes sense if you don't totally discount what he did here this year or at USC. He's clearly a different coach than at Ole Miss.

I don't share the same concerns regarding the differences between coaching as an interim vs full time with Coach O. So naturally I put more weight into what he's done as interim.
