University of Iowa’s Tim Polasek is a name LSU should look into for OLine coach/running game coordinator.

Yes, I live in IC and his offensive lines are usually tops in the conference.

I think this has more to do with the talent type in the area (great OL) than anything else. Similar to LSU (La) with DBs and WRs

He does seem like a really good coach though

I mean.. he turns 3 star guys into NFL players.

Tristan Wirfs was the 33rd ranked tackle coming out of High School.

Tristan is one of the best right tackles in the NFL already.. in his rookie year.

I thought you were pushing Manning earlier, or are you just throwing out Iowa/ISU names?

No, I like Manning for OC. I like Polasek for oline.

And yes, I watch a lot of Iowa and Iowa State football. Haha

My company has box seats on the 45. I go to a lot of games when they don’t interfere with my trips down to LSU. My wife’s family are big ISU donors. I go to a lot of their games as well.

Iowa and ISU don’t get the recruits that LSU gets, and yet they get a lot of their players. They are both usually ranked as of late. So, I like to pay attention to their coaching.

I’ve stated many times that Matt Campbell is my favorite coach in college football.

Tom Manning was a good coach.. then spent a year under Reich and got even better. His TEs usage is fun to watch.

Sorry.. that was a lot. In summation. Tom Manning would likely get to pick his oline coach if he comes here.. they play Iowa every year and Tim Polasek does a great job of coaching both pass and run blocking.

Kirk Ferentz might be the best oline coach on the planet earth. I trust guys who he trusts.. Phil Parker is also the best DC that nobody talks about.
