This time ... not about $$$

OK, its always about money to some degree. But I get a sense its different this time.
Everyone who has made it financially knows that at some point money falls down on the list of priorities. By any objective or subjective measuremnet, Miles has been a success here. LSU can match UM in $$ and even beat it, I don't think its about that.
Also, Miles has to know he could be only 2 years away from wearing out his welcome. Hell, what's the avg. career span for an SEC coach now-a-days? 4 years maybe 4-5 years?
The lure of manning the same office as his mentor, for his old school, where he doesnt have to acclimate to the school's tradition (you know he still bleeds Maze & Blue, as expected), has to be a strong tug on his heart. Not to mention, he could come in as the perceived savior. This time UM wants and needs him. Last time, he was 2nd fiddle to the shinny new toy in Rich Rod.

This thought process leaves out a few HUGE motivating factors. His family. He has 4 children whose roots are firmly implanted here. Les is a family man that is not even up for debate. I think if it comes down to his wants over his family he chooses the family.

I hear you. Have 4 kids too - one reason why I respect the shite out of the guy - and agree it could be big issue.
Wonder, however, if he has family near UM and that could be reason to get closer to them?
