Things we don't know

I am assuming that Jimmy Sexton, T. Tuberville, Chavis, Orgeron and head coaches/AD's all have some kind of contact with each other.
All of the goings-on in college football's coaching circles is located in some 'black book' (for lack of a better term).
Would it be safe to assume that the above paragraphs are true; in order for guys like Miles, Tubs, Chavis and Orgeron to make the best move possible for themselves, and for the schools involved, as well?
Example: Do you think that Jimmy Sexton was on the phone with Les Miles, telling him to wait up a moment on hiring a DC since one of his clients MAY be on the chopping block?

I would think that any DC's that would be open to a move to LSU would be alert to the situation right now and likely have "their people" in touch with "Miles' people," making their interest known. I also think that anyone LSU would be interested in has already been "felt out" by someone in the Miles camp. Since these tactics are considered improper, they will never be spoken of. There is a political chess match afoot with many players involved. Lots of opportunity for coaches looking to move right now. I think it's exciting.

With that being said, AU has GOT to have someone that they have been courting, behind the scenes. Correct?
I wouldn't fire Tubs, unless I had someone that I REALLY wanted.

They surely have put out feelers. How else would you know if you'd be better off without Tubby? I think you're right.
