What a terrible article. It almost made it sound like he was ready to get the hell out of USCe.

“I don’t think so,” Spurrier said when asked if rumors of his leaving USC again would pop up this offseason, “not when you’ve lost five in a row. I’m out of the running. They think you’re pretty good when you win your last three, not when you lose your last five.”

Yeah, that's reassurring to SC fans. Even the guy who wrote it didn't sound confident.

One of the most pointless articles ever.

So, we have now heard that Miles is probably going to Michigan, Tubbs has agreed to stay at AU verbally, spurrier now saying he is not going anywhere, and all work with Jimmy Sexton. Is it just me or do any of you see who is lining up to get the job at LSU. do you think Sextons boys no where another one of his boys is going back to?

That article really didn't say anything. If Spurrier is going to say that he's staying at USC, the time is now BEFORE the LSU job comes open. After it comes open, everything changes, right?

The article was based on a lot of assumption from the past. If we've learned anything in this, things change with a phone call.

The same guy that is lining up for the LSU job this year. Saban was the first name that came out.

These USCe writers must have the "Spurrier is staying" articles down. Every year they write them, and every year it's the same old crap. Eventually he will open his eyes and realize he can't win jackshit at that hell hole program.

But he turned it down on the first go around, right? We'll see that with this hire as well.
