Saban was 48, had a higher winning % than Dillingham, and was a veteran NFL and college defensive coordinator who had just led a second-tier Big 10 program to a Top 10 finish in a season where they beat Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, and Spurrier-led Florida.
That's a little bit different than a 35 year old with one season calling plays under his belt winning a second-tier conference where the best team he faced was Iowa State.
