You just don't test our leaders. You have no idea how Sumlin, Smart, and Fedora interviewed. Fedora and Sumlin have near identical coaching records

Sumlin has a better conference record than Fedora despite going 5-7 last year after losing hid first and second string QB in the same quarter.
I also preferred Fedora at one point but it's too close to really tell a difference. I guess Sumlin interviewed better or our leaders saw something extra in him

Also, the Houston kids love him and that's our bread and butter for recruiting. He can also help us with East Texas athletes.
