I dont get why people would rather Spurrior over Miles. He had 1 MNC in 12 (7th year) years (w/ Stoops as def coord). He had no undefeated season, and had at least 2 losses every year but one. How is this better than the hat's record over 3 years?

Do you remember the arse whippings he put on us, 2 of which were with Saban? Also remember this, he was at UF when FSU was still dominant. He made that program feared and brought a level of success that UF had never experienced.

Still, people complain about 2 loss seasons. Spurrior always had 2loss seasons.
The only difference I see, is that Spurrior consistantly won SEC champs, and 1 MNC. As far as the SEC champs Lets see what happens Sat.
As far as the beatings he gave us, Miles wasn't here, and this year, Miles beat them handily here.

let's see, spurrier is a better qb coach, he understands offensive schemes and play calling, he get involved on the sidelines, he does not need his staff to tell him when to call a time out, he is focused, he loves the SEC, he could turn RP into JR

why would you want a coach in his 60's who no matter what anyone says is only a few seasons left from getting out all together?

Not correct. He only lost 1 game in 95 and 1 game in 96. Get your facts straight.

spurrier is a better qb coach
- and that makes him a better Head Coach because...

he understands offensive schemes and play calling-As does Miles...

he get involved on the sidelines-If pouting, turning red, and throwing a visor is truly a HC attribute, I'll give this one to Spurrier

he does not need his staff to tell him when to call a time out-I'm pretty sure Miles knows he can call a timeout whenever he would like...

he is focused-On his golf game...

he loves the SEC-So, much he left it for the NFL

he could turn RP into JR Maybe, assuming RP can make it to next year without getting arrested!

Ten years ago I would have been all for a Spurrier hire...As far as I'm concerned, that horse has left the barn!
